Veronica is the Program Manager – SwRI Engagement at Southwest Research Institute. With over 25 years of Human Resources experience, including the last seven focused on various engagement projects and initiatives, Veronica ensures that SwRI policies and procedures continue to reflect their high employment and engagement standards. She is responsible for advising HR, the Executive team and SwRI Advisory Groups on HR topics, trends and initiatives. She works to enhance the cultural and social pulse of the organization through the coordination of SwRI’s community outreach, the management of Employee Resource Groups and the Employee Engagement Survey and the development and execution of internal employee celebrations. Veronica also serves as the United Way Campaign Coordinator for SwRI, working both internally and externally to plan and organize Institute-wide events that support this annual campaign effort
Veronica holds a B.A. in Psychology from Texas A&M University, College Station and an M.A. in Industrial/Organization Psychology from St. Mary’s University, San Antonio. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and serves on the Advisory Council and HR Committee of the United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County. Born and raised here in San Antonio, Veronica is passionate about her work in the evolving space of Employee Engagement and looks for opportunities to grow and share her experiences with others.
